Women's Alliance

Women's Alliance of 1st UU Church holds monthly luncheon/program meetings from September through June. They are held on the third Wednesday of each month.

All are invited and membership is open to all. Luncheon begins at Noon and costs $10. Reservations for the luncheon portion need to be made by calling the Church Office by the Monday preceding the meeting day so we know how much food to prepare. There is no charge for the program portion. The program begins about 1:00 PM. Everyone is welcome!

The Alliance is affiliated with the Unitarian-Universalist Women's Federation (UUWF). Dues are $25 per year. The entire amount is sent to the UUWF to support their projects. UUWF supports projects world wide through grants that benefit women. Joining the UUWF is strongly encouraged. Those who pay dues receive a newsletter from the UUWF and have voting rights with regard to Women's Alliance business.

Start to Think Spring! Plan to attend the Alliance luncheon and program of Feb. 17. The speaker will be Kami Pothukuchi, Associate Professor of Urban Planning at WSU and Director of Wayne SEED. Learn about her work and student gardening projects (that's the spring part). Lunch is at Noon and the program begins at 1:00 pm. Make reservations with Eiko Takemoto or the Church Office by Feb. 15. Cost for a great meal is $10.
